HSB Leads Voluntary Healthcare Program for Revolution Contributors and Policy Beneficiary Families in Yen Bai Commune, Hanoi
On May 9, 2026, the School of Business and Management (HSB) – Vietnam National University, Hanoi led the organization of a voluntary healthcare program for people with meritorious service to the nation and relatives of policy beneficiary families in Yen Bai Commune, Hanoi, with the participation of 250 local residents. The program aimed to promote social responsibility and strengthen connections among educators, scientists, physicians, and entrepreneurs in joint efforts to improve community health.

ĐHQGHN – HSB Promotes International Cooperation in Cybersecurity On April 28, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Thế Duy, President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ĐHQGHN), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) regarding the project “Supporting the Vietnam Institute for Non-Traditional Security to Enhance Cybersecurity Training Capacity” within the framework of activities to promote Vietnam – Korea cooperation in April 2026. Many strategic agreements on science and technology, digital security, and technology infrastructure have been signed, demonstrating a trend of strengthening extensive cooperation between the two nations in the digital era. Regarding cybersecurity issues, Prof. Dr. Hoàng Đình Phi, Rector of the Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB), ĐHQGHN, emphasized that in the context of globalization, digital transformation, and increasingly extensive international integration, alongside development opportunities, Vietnam is also facing numerous challenges from non-traditional security threats, particularly cybersecurity. The risks of cyberattacks, data breaches, high-tech fraud, or risks related to the digital economy, finance, and business are strongly impacting the nation's stability and sustainable development. To contribute to enhancing research and training capacity in cybersecurity, Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Yêm, Director of the Institute for Non-Traditional Security (INS), ĐHQGHN, highly appreciated the two-year process of cooperative exchange between the Institute for Non-Traditional Security and the Hanoi School of Business and Management with the leadership of the KOICA Office in Vietnam regarding the idea of implementing the Project “Supporting the Vietnam Institute for Non-Traditional Security to Enhance Cybersecurity Training Capacity”. The project is expected to be implemented from 2026 to 2029. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the KOICA Office and Vietnam National University, Hanoi, agreed upon and signed by both parties, is the result of an effective working process between the two entities to materialize the idea and initiate project implementation. Objectives of the KOICA Cooperation Project for the 2026–2029 Period ✅ Establish modern cybersecurity training and practice infrastructure. ✅ Establish a Cyber Range for simulating cyberattack and defense scenarios. ✅ Develop the “V-Shield” cybersecurity training program according to international standards. ✅ Train a team of lecturers, experts, and management staff. ✅ Enhance research cooperation and technology transfer between Vietnam and Korea. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ĐHQGHN and KOICA marks a significant step forward in the strategy for developing non-traditional security and cybersecurity in Vietnam, while affirming its pioneering role in training, research, and policy consultation on security governance in the new context. HSB Trains High-Quality Human Resources in the Field of Security 🎓 Bachelor of Management and Security (MAS) with specializations in: Cybersecurity Financial Security Digital Business 🎓 Master of Non-Traditional Security Management (MNS) with in-depth specializations, including cybersecurity. Additionally, the Institute for Non-Traditional Security (INS) is implementing numerous research, training, workshop, and professional development activities on non-traditional security and cybersecurity for ministries, sectors, and localities. Currently, the Institute for Non-Traditional Security (INS) is a leading research unit in this field. The implementation of the cooperation project with KOICA will contribute to supporting the Institute for Non-Traditional Security in developing and providing updated and modern courses and training programs, helping leaders and managers identify potential cybersecurity threats as well as effective prevention and response solutions. Thereby, agencies, units, and businesses can develop comprehensive directions and strategies to enhance their cybersecurity assurance capabilities in the new context. Furthermore, the project also contributes to consolidating and developing the team of researchers and lecturers in non-traditional security and cybersecurity; strongly promotes scientific research activities in this field, linked to Vietnam's reality, aiming to build a highly applicable training – research – policy consultation ecosystem.

Seminar: 'Hanoi City Planning – A 100-Year Vision from a Non-Traditional Security Perspective'
On the morning of April 7th in Hanoi, the Institute for Non-Traditional Security (School of Business and Management, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and the Government e-Portal jointly organized a seminar titled 'Drafting the Amended Capital Law and Hanoi City Planning – A 100-Year Vision from a Non-Traditional Security Perspective,' proposing strategic orientations for Hanoi's 100-year planning, associated with ensuring non-traditional security. The seminar was attended by domestic and international experts from various fields such as urban planning and non-traditional security. This was the second session of the Vietnam Non-Traditional Security Forum, held monthly.
