Implement the project "Supporting the Vietnam Institute for Non-Traditional Security to Enhance Cybersecurity Training Capacity"

On the afternoon of August 17, 2026, Mr. Yang Seok Woong, Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam, along with a KOICA delegation, visited and worked at the Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB), Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Attending the working session were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Yêm, Director of the Institute for Non-Traditional Security (under the Hanoi School of Business and Management, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and Prof. Dr. Hoàng Đình Phi, Dean of HSB, along with representatives from relevant units.

Towards Project Implementation in the 2026 – 2030 Period

At the working session, the two sides discussed the progress and solutions to promptly implement the Project "Supporting the Vietnam Institute for Non-Traditional Security to Enhance Cybersecurity Training Capacity," supported by KOICA. After more than 3 years of preparing the conditions, the infrastructure and human resources are now ready for the Project's implementation in the 2026 – 2030 period.

Expected to Commence in the Fourth Quarter of 2026

The two sides agreed to exchange and coordinate closely on timelines and work content, aiming to commence project implementation in the fourth quarter of 2026, while expressing confidence that the cooperation program will be successful, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's cybersecurity assurance capacity in the coming period.

Promoting Research, Training, and Development of Non-Traditional Security Governance

Along with breakthrough achievements in developing the academic discipline "Non-Traditional Security Governance" (MNS) and developing Cybersecurity Governance technology, this Project contributes to enabling the Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB) and the Institute for Non-Traditional Security (INS) to continue leading in developing scientific research on Non-Traditional Security Governance, associated with talent training and strategic consulting for ensuring Non-Traditional Security in all sectors in Vietnam.

Concurrently, this cooperation activity with KOICA further affirms the spirit of cooperation between HSB and international partners in training, research, and high-quality human resource development in the field of non-traditional security, which holds practical significance for Vietnam's sustainable development.
