31 YEARS – A JOURNEY OF BREAKTHROUGH INNOVATION AT HSB

On July 13, 2026, the Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ĐHQGHN), organized its 31st Anniversary Celebration (July 13, 1995 – July 13, 2026), marking a journey of continuous innovation, creativity, and pioneering efforts in education, scientific research, knowledge transfer, and high-quality human resource development.

Within the framework of the program, representatives from QS Quacquarelli Symonds (United Kingdom) officially awarded the international ranking certification QS Stars 5 Stars to the Hanoi School of Business and Management. This is a special milestone as HSB becomes the first public higher education institution in Vietnam to achieve QS Stars 5 Stars certification, recognizing outstanding achievements in education, research, internationalization, innovation, university governance, and sustainable development.

After 31 years of establishment and development, HSB has become an internationally reputable interdisciplinary training institution with QS Ranking 5 Stars certification, offering a full range of training programs from bachelor's, master's to doctoral levels, integrating education with research, knowledge transfer, and consulting for the Party, the State, local authorities, organizations, and businesses.

The School has also built a network of over 20,000 alumni and students, affirming its position in research, consulting, and training leaders, managers, and executives.

HSB's training and research activities focus on two distinct schools of thought: Non-Traditional Security Management and Integrated Business Management, combining three academic pillars: Management – Technology – Security. This serves as the foundation for developing modern, practical, and globally-oriented training programs.

The first public university in Vietnam to achieve QS Stars 5 Stars with 56 evaluation criteria.
100% of high-quality, English-taught regular training programs are accredited by ACQUIN (Germany).
100% of bachelor's degree students are employed after graduation.
Official member of AACSB.
The only public institution to collaborate with Public Security and Military academies, establishing the Institute of Non-Traditional Security (INS).
The first public institution to substantially complete the objectives set forth in Resolution 71-NQ/TW.

Focusing on developing 3 elite spearheads in an era of growth

Speaking at the celebration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Thế Duy – Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ĐHQGHN) acknowledged HSB's efforts in its autonomy process, enhancing the quality of education, research, and international integration. According to him, the QS Stars 5 Stars certification is a testament to the achievements HSB has made after more than three decades of development.

In the coming period, HSB is oriented to pioneer research and development of training programs in management science, technology management, artificial intelligence, and emerging economic fields such as low-altitude space economy, unmanned aerial vehicles, and security management.
