Admissions

HSB offers two scholarship groups for the 2026 intake — tuition reductions for Master's applicants across multiple eligibility categories, and fully-funded research fellowships for outstanding Master's and Doctoral candidates.

Express Application

HSB & VNU Alumni — Fast-Track Your Application

Graduates of HSB and VNU member universities are eligible for streamlined application processing and tuition reductions of up to 50%. Apply directly with your transcript — no additional documentation required for scholarship consideration.

10% VNU member university alumni with Good standing
20% HSB alumni with Good standing or above
30% HSB alumni & VNU Excellent graduates; Excellent graduates from FTU, NEU, etc. — priority for entrepreneurs
50% HSB alumni with Outstanding graduation classification
Research Fellowship

Outstanding Research Fellowship — 100% Tuition Waiver + Financial Support

HSB's highest scholarship tier, for candidates with a clear research orientation and commitment to academic publication.

Master's Candidates
Up to 60 million VND/year
  • 100% tuition waiver for the entire program
  • Research expense, conference, and publication support
  • Opportunity to serve as a research assistant
  • International publication in WOS/Scopus journals required
Eligibility
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.2/4.0 or above
  • Clear research direction aligned with HSB's research groups
  • English proficiency equivalent to VNU Level 4/6
  • Endorsement from a reputable academic supervisor
Doctoral Candidates
Up to 120 million VND/year
  • 100% tuition waiver for the entire program
  • International publication and conference support
  • Priority participation in research and policy consulting projects
  • International publication in WOS/Scopus journals required
Eligibility
  • Undergraduate and Master's GPA of 3.2/4.0 or above
  • Under 40 years of age at the date of admission decision
  • English proficiency: VNU Level 4/6 or IELTS 6.5+
  • Endorsement from a reputable academic supervisor committed to mentorship
  • Published research paper (preferred)
Tuition Reductions

Master's Program Scholarships 2026

Tuition reductions from 10% to 100% based on applicant profile. Reductions are applied by deducting from the final semester's tuition.

Police & Military Personnel

10%Administrative staff with 2+ years of experience
20%Police, military, teachers, doctors (public sector) who have served in border or island regions
50%Police, military, teachers, doctors currently serving in border or island regions
70%Children or grandchildren of martyrs; war invalids class 1/4

Public Sector Employees

10%Employees at public institutions in major cities
20%Outstanding cadres designated as organizational talent pipeline
30%War invalids class 4/4
50%War invalids class 2/4 or 3/4

Business Sector

10%Corporate partners enrolling employees on an annual basis
20%Startup founders with 1–5 years in operation
30%Valedictorians of each admission intake (with Good graduation or above)

HSB & VNU Staff & Family

10%VNU full-time staff and their children
30%Siblings and nieces/nephews of HSB full-time staff
70%HSB full-time staff; spouses and children of HSB staff; and other special cases

International Applicants

≥20%Foreign nationals who have worked full-time in Vietnam for at least 2 years, contributing to Vietnamese enterprises
